You Can Change History in Colombia

10 years ago the violence and drug trafficking was so bad in Colombia that it would have been virtually impossible to hold a gospel festival without becoming a martyr at the same time.  I thank God on my knees for all the great men and woman of God who have sown the seed and even given their lives to reach Colombia for Jesus.  In just a few days World Gospel Explosion is advancing the gospel in the city of El Banco Colombia.  You may wonder why we want to get so involved in a country like Colombia and what does this have to do with you? 

The answer lies in the greek word “kairos”, which means “the opportune or supreme moment”.  Since 2002 Álvaro Uribe Vélez has been the president of Colombia which opened the doors wide for the gospel.  This last year they elected a new president and only God knows how long these doors will remain open. The bible says in Ephesians 5:16 "redeeming the time because the days are evil". 

This is your opportune time. 

Farmers tell us that there is an opportune time to harvest oranges from an orange tree.  If you pick too early they will be sour.  If you wait too long, they'll be spoiled.  But if you take action at just the right time the reward is great.  Do you see how timing is so important? 

Dear friend, I'm looking for those fruits of blessing that abound towards you.  The time is now!  The Apostle Paul said, "Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.  Phil.4:17 

It's not just about you giving, but rather "giving and receiving" Philippians 4:15.  God wants you to receive fruit that abounds to your account.

 By partnering with World Gospel Explosion and pioneering the gospel in this critical time there are a number of fruits that abound towards you.  Look at the benefits.

4.  You are making an eternal investment. "I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves , so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. " Luke 16:9 

5.  You are making a wise investment.  Recently in Canada there was a one day event that was focused on mostly christians.  The cost? Over $40,000.  

The Gospel Festival that WGE is doing in just a few days is reaching thousands of people who have never heard the good news of Jesus over 4 days. And it only costs us $30,000.

6.  Jesus will reward you for obeying the Great Commission in Mark 16:15.  I love this quote by a precious women of God: 

"When I enter that beautiful city, and the saints all around me appear, I hope that someone will tell me, it was you who invited me here." -Corrie Ten Boom
